Wonderland didn't turn out anything like I wanted it to. I got too lazy to actually do anything all that special. Sorry for the lack of originality (aqua grass was about the best I could do) It funked when I uploaded it again so it looks sort of worse than it actually is. Sorry. Critique would really rock, the more strern the better (it's the only way I'll learn!) don't worry I'm not gonna go cry if you dislike something ,;D feel free to just point it out.

unique style, nicely expressive, it's refreshing to see something new...

Thanks! Is it really all that new? I thought it seemed a bit stale by now...oh well. At least somebody likes it. Is there anything I should remember for next time?

Your coming along well keikai, critique ok, I won't be harsh.

The grass is fine, just some shadows under the animals, especially the wolf/dog. On the tree put some leaves in front of it to cut off some of the trunk to make it look more real, maybe make it fuller, and thicken the trunk as it gets closer to the ground. Ditto for the vine on the flower and add a few leaves. Round the top of the hat, it looks a bit like a paper bag, and highlights on the animals. Keep in mind where the sun is shining (left-right) and add highlights accordingly, the same for the tree and flowers.

That's about it. I hope you take it for the help you asked for. It's a pretty pic.

Thanks so much sweetcell! You've been really helpful while I've been here. I'll be sure to keep all your tips in mind. I agree on basically everything you say, I sort of thought the hat looks a bit too much like a papper bag, the trees and plants were a bit off and also the shading makes them look...plastic. I'll try adding shadows and keeping the light focused on one area instead of all over the place. Thanks once again for your tips, they are very helpful and encouraging ;D!

Ahh, your welcome keik. Just think of this place as art school, as you progress the teachers help you by giving advice. Some people do take it a little seriously (there are some who can be harsh in their cristicism) but it's all to help you grow, learn. An artist is always learning. You've come a long way. I'm glad to be of help. *smoochies* cause they're better than *hugs*

I really don't think there is such a thing as harsh criticism, it's more like some people think certain things should be a certain way and just give more information on how they feel. Either way I'm fine with it. And I've only come a short way, I have a long way to go but thanks to you guys one 2draw (especially you sweetcell) that I've been able to get to this point.
