So, when I was a kid, I had this dream where I was pinocchio and for some reason, I was being chased by the giant from the Mickey Mouse cartoon where Mickey claimed he "killed seven in one blow". He wanted to step on me and squash me.
I must of been watching a lot of cartoons or something, but It was one of the scariest dreams of my childhood.

Some of those old cartoons actually were very unsettling for very young kids. The characters were so memorable, and at the time, believable..it was easy to see how they might "linger" in the dreams. Remember, too , kejo..in the cartoons when the characters get squashed, they bounce back in a frame or two, after they walk around "pancaked" for a couple...

man, this brings back a chilling nightmare from my own childhood. Although instead of a giant, I was being hunted by Daedalus from the Mighty Hercules cartoon (that really old crappy cartoon with the annoying goat kid that would yell "Hey Herc! Hey Herc!" all the time). Daedalus would chase me, complete with Flinstones style running animation and that dastardly evil laugh. :(
