Put in a quick sketch. The mouth looks kind of funny and the eyes look a bit off - I might need to pull a reference. I used the same basic hairstyle as the portrait I just colored last night since it was fresh in my mind.

Cloxboy: Feel free to erase and draw whatever you like. You can start over and erase everything if you wish.

Oh thanks, but Cloxboy is the king! I'm just going to try my best not to mess him up too much. I'm trying really hard to get things right and not do anything too difficult so that I don't subject him to countless revisions of correcting mistakes like I've been doing in the past couple of drawings.

Yea, the teeth are weird. think about a jaw and how the angle of the teeth are with respect to that. it kind of looks like the hinge is right at the edge of the lips there instead of all the way back closer to the ears...

Lol Frootcake. Looks great so far Comd, this will be fun. Personally, I don't really fuss over proportions and such but to each his/her own. I'm not sure what I'm going to add here but yeah...I guess something to support the "what the hell?" title or whatever.

Sorry I took so long on this. I was trying to correct some of the problems with the mouth, but I also had to do my weekly meeting in the process. I wasn't very successful at correcting it, but I tried to alleviate for it a bit by emphasizing the jaw and making the lower teeth show less. I need to practice doing faces more with extreme expressions like this. Usually I just draw a bunch that are smiling or frowning a bit.

I put in some basic shading since I was trying to get a better feel for the jaw and the cross hatching was creating too much texture on her face.

[Edit] Oops, the timer is way off since I reloaded in order to get the brush flowing again (Lascaux got stuck). I took like an hour or so.

I think the way I drew everything made her face look like it was tilting upward, so I made the nose go with that. Boy, I really need more foresight when before I start drawing.

I wanted it to be kind of suspenseful about what might happen next, which is why I went with the whole, "What the hell?!" setup. I think just about anything could go behind her: a space ship, a martian probing a cow, a monster, a naked person running around, etc.

Ah okay - sorry, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to fill it in with something or not. Also Marcello showed me what Zoraw was - I wasn't sure if he was supposed to have organic parts or not, but now I know what he's supposed to look like. :)
