The key to improving is spending more time on your peices. You only spent 13 minutes on this, giving you time to only do so much. I'm sure if you spent more time on your drawings they would look really good, and coloring also helps.

Like Ana-hime said, you need to spend more time if you want to improve. I recommend at least a half an hour at a time per revision for beginning artists. You will also need to spend time studying how experienced artists draw and then practice imitating what you see them do.

@NOVEMBER: Um, excuse me?

If they were my early pictures from back when I joined, then it wouldn't be a surprise if they were no good. Gawd, i was such a n00b back then. xD <3

But, yeah, your form isn't bad, elaborate on your art a bit, color it entirely, and you have something to be proud of, instead of just a sketch.

She is right though, I've known very few users who can pull off a good picture in under 20 minutes. Gawd I miss Porcelain. But anyhow, when working with a mouse, which is what it looks like here, you wanna make sure you don't scratch back and forth like some people do with a pencil. And don't feel rushed. Pictures with more time put into them generally turn out better, and most people respect the fact that someone would take the amount of time required for smooth lineart alone. Colouring is generally icing on the cake, but I like pictures than can be just lineart without looking too 'blah'.

The face is kinda lopsided too. Or at least appears to be. Looks like there's a lot more of it on the left side.

Just take your time and do your best to keep things smooth. Not only will other people be glad, it'll be so much easier when you go to colour it in. You'll get the hang of it soon enough, everyone had to start somewhere.

Oh, and a tip on colouring. Do it on a layer beaneath the lineart, and lay down a solid 'base colour' (usually a midtone) first. That'll prevent white spots from showing through.
And try to keep your colours around the same hue and saturation, There's a lot of random grey mixed in with the orange, and it looks kind of odd. If you're going for markings, try doing patches of grey, instead of just lines of it.

I must say though, one of the things you're good at remembering is that clothing goes around the skin, and is not embedded. The shirt collar is very convincing.
