first of all... her boobs are bigger than her waist.
which makes me think she is a porn star.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Feb 26, 2006)
ummmm... solar.... your waist should be significantly smaller than your chest unless you are terribly fat and out of shape
(hi Donna Jean!)
Miss_DJ (Feb 26, 2006)
hey Cindy! how u b? just having fun in here as usual! Tom did a great "lil woman" sculpture pot/vase which inspired the beginning of this. Check it out...http://www.missdjsart.com

now I know what you're busy doing.... (scenes from "Ghost" come to mind) ummmm!!!!!!... that's great, didn't know he did that
Miss_DJ (Feb 26, 2006)
yeah...wouldn't it be nice if life were like that? haha...they don't show the clay getting all over the sheets and her saying..."eeewww...go wash your hands, you're getting that stuff all over me!!" lol check our RAGING ARMADILLO POTTERY store on ebay...Tom is an excellent potter!
thesolarwinds (Feb 26, 2006)
um... umm.. if your female, your hips should be a little wider than your shoulders...
Zack (Feb 26, 2006)
It varies from person to person and from pose to pose. The odd thing about this picture, IMO, is that the nipples are directly in the middle of the breasts. They should be more to the outside.

Yea..it's the prehistoric Earth Mother kind of woman figure. They were usually shown with oversize hips and breasts..to symbolize fertility. Nice..
dietsoda (Feb 26, 2006)
Jeez, everybody left such bad comments. Personally, I think the picture looks pretty cool. This is the beginner board right? I did't know when you draw a pic it has to be fit for an anatomy text book... especially since it's an oekaki board. N E Wayz, Miss DJ... keep it rockin'. Booyow!!! Good Job. Sorry for ranting. :)
Miss_DJ (Feb 27, 2006)
thank you for your comments, everyone! When this is finished, it will be a clay pot which is the figure of a woman. As a 'potter' figure, I imagine I will be able to make it just how I like without it actually needing it to look one way or another...but, I do appreciate all the advice about the female form. It won't be a 'realistic' draw. But, I can see you have already taken note of that..lol. Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your input. Donna

not bad comments, learn to take criticism, to improve your art. at least we see enough potential in it to comment.
suzie (Feb 27, 2006)
I know a few men who would love this as a clay pot DJ..but I love the draw, its different, and great. Love how you used solid black to shade some parts..works well on this. :D
Miss_DJ (Feb 27, 2006)
the solarwinds...if you read my response, you can see I have already learned to take criticism and even thank people for it. sincerely, Donna oh and suzie...thank you! I hope it turns out well once it's finished, but I appreciate that you like it so far!

Miss_DJ (Feb 27, 2006)
thank you Kristine! You're art is exceptional! I LOVE your tiger draw..wow!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 27, 2006)
I like the tummy. :)
Miss_DJ (Feb 27, 2006)
thank you Cindy...I kinda feel like the breasts are too silicone-ish..and way too round..but, oh well..I can always do another draw..lol
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 27, 2006)
In galleries I have seen numerous vessels in pottery or sculptures of the female form, and they are usually exaggerating one feature or another, which I think is what makes them interesting works of art.
Miss_DJ (Feb 28, 2006)
good points, pun intended...lol (and thanks DBA!)
PinkishPink (Feb 28, 2006)
very nice job love it but seemed the nipples are pressed against a glass, not trying 2 be critical cause its amazing!
Miss_DJ (Feb 28, 2006)
thanks Pinkish! Great critique! I hadn't noticed that but it's very true! Thanks for the observation and I sure appreciate that you like the piece.
