Don't feel discouraged. You did some very nice work on this picture. Like most of us you probably took it too far and ended up overworking parts of it. (I do that all the time.) You attempted a very complex picture with face, hands, stomach, translucency...lots of difficult elements. She's adorable and the picture has a very appealing overall quality. A simple background could help to pull it all together. I think if you put a line in the hand that's on her hip to delineate the top of her hand from her wrist it will help, too.

...and then, sometimes you just gotta let a demon eat them.
