Hopefully it doesn't consist of children in revealing leather outfits either. This is very wrong.
chickenmonster2001 (Feb 2, 2006)
This isn't a child, its a chibi.

Difference: Greatly

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chibi

"Chibi is a noun originated in the Japanese language to describe a short person or child."

"In Western fanfiction a chibi is a child, baby, or toddler-like version of an anime or manga character, who is older in the original series."
chickenmonster2001 (Feb 3, 2006)
Really, your taking it way too seriously.
A chibi, in my terms, would be a more fun or comical character of the original.

Honestly, it would be pure ignorance to say I was a 13 year old pedophile.
Zack (Feb 3, 2006)
How you define 'Chibi' has little to do with what the word actually means. The word means child or childlike version. The way this is drawn suggests that the character is a child, what with the childlike proportions. You can deny all you want, but I say that if something quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, hell that seems like a duck to me.
chickenmonster2001 (Feb 4, 2006)
Think what you want, talk about ducks all you want, But I still don't care.
Its just a drawing. Calm down.
No need to rant on and on about the definition of 'Chibi', and how I draw things. It does not effect you, nor does it effect me much. Because honestly, I'm cracking up at the amount of detail your putting into something simple.

She's not naked, she's not defiling anything, and she is certainly not posing in a horrible manner. She's smiling, and waving.

You are the only one thinking of it in a horrible way, and therefore it is your responsibilty to accept your own thoughts.
Zack (Feb 4, 2006)
I am calm. The duck thing was an analogy to the way you're denying that this is a drawing of a kid.

The reason I pointed out the definition of "Chibi" is because you didn't seem to understand what the word actually means. I found it ironic that you were telling me that the difference between a child and the japanese word for child was "greatly."

My main point is that this picture looks like a child in a skimpy leather outfit, which I think is grossly inappropriate. If you're going to have a character dressed like that, go for an even more abstracted super-deformed style, or at least something that looks less like an adolescent.
chickenmonster2001 (Feb 5, 2006)
I can't say I will exactly apologize for drawing something. However, I can see where you may have been offended.

I'll tell you this now, so we can stop this debate: It was not my intention to create something that could get a reaction this great.

"Its just a drawing. Calm down."

Kind of interesting, what with all the religious cartoon hoodaddy.
