Asshole

I heard a story once, I can't remember all the details. It was about an Emperor and a painter. For whatever reason, the painter was faced with death for some infraction. The Emperor made a deal with the painter, a deal that if the painter could paint the most beautiful meaningful painting the Emperor had ever seen, his life would b spared. The painter thought long and hard. After the painter was finished with the painting the Emperor was floored by the pure genius and beauty of the painting. This is my version of that painting. The Emperor loved it because it was a brilliant concept, the bird already having left the painting both shows movement, insight, simplicity and lets the viewer imagine their own interpretation of a beautiful bird, therefore seeing one. I don't know if it's a true story or not, but I've always liked it.

Axil62 (Jan 31, 2006)
...and please, no wagering. This is for entertainment purposes only.

OK, but do you think I have to worry about that skinny Japanese kid over there by the pile of hot dogs?
nobody (Jan 31, 2006)
he's gonna be a tough competitor. and i'm not saying you have no chance, but he paid me off already to rig the results.

ok I was going to work on my clouds...but I know I will never be able to compare. But do you mind if I try? lol
Axil62 (Jan 31, 2006)
Please, feel free. These were really very simple to do. Flood fill with blue and then set opacity to 1, grab the first watercolor brush, click on a white and start building them up.

Rows and flows of angel hair...and ice cream castle's in the air...and feather canyons everywhere...

I saw a painting once similar to this... it was a herd of cattle before a blizzard... they ate all the grass and moved on... and then it came a huge snow storm... there was nothing but "white". Some people say it's a huge masterpiece, that white canvas.... I don't know. I only commented on this to add to Dan's last comment.

Flood fill with blue and then set opacity to 1, grab the first watercolor brush, click on a white and start building them up.

and say a little prayer that God will bless you with the talent he possesses, or it WILL NOT WORK for you... sorry.

It also really helps to use tablet pressure on size/opacity for clouds. Like a hella lot.
Axil62 (Feb 1, 2006)
Yup, forgot to mention that. ( I foolishly assume everyone uses it. Why wouldn't you want your tools to simulate a brush as closely as possible?)It's like.... yeah, it isn't gonna work out to well unless you do use pressure sensitivity.
pandabarrie (Jun 30, 2006)
oohhhuhHOLY SHIT!

i was looking through your gallery, stopped at this one for a bit and when i went to scroll down again, i could have sworn the clouds moved.....
Sweetcell (Jun 30, 2006)
