this reminds me of the old TV show Mayberry RFD. You can find this guy at any back woods protestant church.

This is so much along the lines of one of my favorite photo-realism artists... Robert Bechtle. If you aren't familiar with his work, he does these spectacular, not so ordinary paintings of ordinary things, like cars on the street or himself in a lawn chair... matter of fact I think he has done more than one of himself in a lawn chair. And just the lawn chairs, too. Great subject matter.
(I'm with Noremac on the sitting in these kind of chairs, though... right now I'd not be able to get OUT of one lol)
