i ono..if you get that sucker id be pretty jealous. i heard intuos rocked over graphire although my graphire served me well for 3 years. (still missing my stylus) anyway, unless you have lots of money to blow, or are a semi professional, id get a graphire. and donate the rest of the money to 2draw ;)

Rudeezy (Nov 24, 2005)
i have a graphire. it's blue. it's smaller than the 6x8 though.
  icon
Anna (Nov 24, 2005)
Dang! The new Graphires look so different! But yeah, that's what we're talkin' about. 'Cept I'm poor and I have the smallest size. Still works great for me though!

I have much money. What Tablet Is bestest???
  icon
kristine (Nov 24, 2005)
LOL! uhh...what tablet is the best ? um, i would say the first one i pointed out is decently priced for the quality.
  icon
staci (Nov 24, 2005)
the dog has gas. god that is disgusting.

who knows what is bestest. i havent sampled all the tablets in the world to be able to give you a sound opinion. i only know that i have a graphire 3 (which was the model before the 4 :P) and its great for what i need it to be great for. i know dinoflorist has an intuos and he thinks its better than graphire. so depends on how much money you want to blow i reckon. i also know feeding your dog cheese is a bad idea.

kristine (Nov 24, 2005)
XD very bad idea!

marcello (Nov 24, 2005)
Get 6x8 if you can. 4x5 is too small, and I've found 9x12 a bit hard to use (too big). Intuos is nice, though unnecessary (unless you're ub3r/pro and want the tilt features—which are supported by so few programs anyway) since they make graphire at 6x8 now.
  icon
DinoFlorist (Nov 24, 2005)
the difference between intuos and graphire for me is not that im ub3r pro, but it has like a grippy surface that feels much more realistic. I dont know if newer graphire models have this or not (becasue the graphire I have is porbably the first tablet ever invented), but it makes a lot of difference to me.

im with hakkai... tablets are for rich boobheads >:[

inatyrb (Nov 25, 2005)
Cam.. I'm not at all a rich boobhead. Thanks. I have a Sapphire Wacom. It took a lil while to get used to because of it sensitivity, but it wasn't too difficult. I truly love my tablet, and i could choose nothing better, just maybe a larger one, I got the smallest size. Heh. Mine has pressure sensitivity, erases at the end, and i have no idea what else there is. Lol. But a lot of software was included. I think its awesome... Cam, your a boobhead.
  icon
kristine (Nov 25, 2005)
i might be a boobhead but im not rich :P
  icon
JK-Arts (Nov 25, 2005)
Boobheads are funny. LOL, Reminds me of that movie with Adam Sandler in it. He plays the devils son and walks around saying "get in the flask" well any ways, there is a boobhead in that movie. (incase anybody needed a refrence to what a boobhead is.)

marcello (Nov 25, 2005)
Heh, my first tablet was from way before graphire line even started... it used a serial port and had its own ac adapter. I have a picture of it somewhere...

Axil62 (Nov 25, 2005)

  icon
Noremac (Nov 25, 2005)

xiau (Dec 31, 2005)
I recently got a Wacom 9x12 for Christmas, and like Marcello said, it's kind of hard to use because it's really big.
But I do love it~ <3 It makes drawing much easier and faster.

Shanghai (Dec 31, 2005)
these guys-
http://www.wacom.com/productinfo/index.cfm

it's just a pen to write and draw with instead of a mouse, and gives far more control.

NedLife (edited Dec 31, 2005)
OOOOOOOh LOOKS like drawing on paper and pencil !!!!! I wish i had some cash but I DONT have a JOB right now!!!! LOL Thank you REDPANDA
  icon
marcello (Dec 31, 2005)
xiau: you can set it up to split the tablet into two smaller parts so you don't have to use the whole 9x12 for the whole screen.

WHAT THE CRAP IS A TABLEET?

El Oh El.
I'm currently using a Wacom Graphire3 6x8'. It's my very first tablet. It works fine and is great for home use.
I would love to get a nice, new, shinny Intuos 4 though *drool*.

Derrick: If you have much money then go for Intuos3 or even 4. I think the Intuos3 6x8' is at around $300USD.
  icon
kristine (Dec 31, 2005)
yep, around 300, cus my 4x5 costed $200.
  icon
marcello (Dec 31, 2005)
Intuos 4? I think you may be confusing yourself.
  icon
kristine (edited Dec 31, 2005)
probably. i saw one at SamsClub that was 250+ tax >_o
  icon
Zeal (Jan 1, 2006)
4x5 tablet was 80$ at best buy... =P.. they did rip me off on my new comppy though.. >=()

iyami-ame (Jan 6, 2006)
DONT get an Aiptek tablet unless your just a hobby-artist, theyre dirt cheap, but for a reason o_o; if your a serious artist get an Intous by Wacom :3 theyre more accurate, come with ebtter programs, and aremuch much more durable..
