I love silhouettes...this is very nicely done... could use some color in the bg for interest, I think..
LisaAnne (Nov 20, 2005)
The individual hairs are such a nice and delicate detail.
monkey_says (Nov 20, 2005)
wow! this is so neat! *__* great job. obviously unfinished thus far, but I look forward to the finished piece.

i just cant seem to get out of my freaking artist's block! >_<
sketcher2005 (Nov 20, 2005)
thats real cute! you did very well on this one! i luv it
davincipoppalag (edited Nov 20, 2005)
That's way better..it has the feel of a scene from Gone With the Wind.. this is great. Only thing that bothers me a little is how the noses seem to merge..maybe make his a bit smaller with just the slightest bit of bg showing between the two?
emmamommalag (Nov 20, 2005)
The noses look fine to me. This is a really beautiful silhouette. :)

my brain is in too much of a mush state to so anything to this. i quit. i suck.
hideyourface (edited Nov 20, 2005)
I dont think silhouettes can become showcase cause theres usually not much skill needed to make one, even though they looks really nice. It'd have to be reeeally good.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Nov 20, 2005)
hideyourface: Wrong on all points, there. There are silhouettes in the showcase, and it does require a great amount of skill to do one right, sometimes moreso than a subject with alot of detail. This one is very nice, kristine.
kristine (Nov 20, 2005)
this SUCKS on all points. i hate using my stupid mouse >_< and the funny thing is that, i still have no idea what the hell im doing. im such a freaking noob.

"and it does require a great amount of skill to do one right"
"It'd have to be reeeally good"

Im just saying silhouettes are pretty basic. An outline, and a simple background. The background cant be too complicated or it would take focus away from the silhouette. Then the silhouette itself is only really good when theres a lot of detail put into it because it's just an outline. They look pretty, but if you're really good at them I think you need to take all the artistic aspects like composition and complementing colours into consideration to produce something that would be showcase quality. I know theres some in showcase, sorry if made it sound like I thought otherwise.

her face is really great..especially her mouth and teeth. sillhouettes are tough if you are making one up..with a reference its easy as hell.
safescene (Nov 20, 2005)
This is really great. Really.
Anna (Nov 20, 2005)
Awww I love this. :-) Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. lol Good work, Kristine :-)
kristine (Nov 20, 2005)
well, if you all say so :|

you know, Kristine, if you hate it so much, delete it-these pictures are for you, if you dont like them dont feel pressured to share them. At least don't downplay people's compliments when they actually mean them.
nekodesu (Nov 20, 2005)
Some of us (*cough* me *cough*) can't even draw a nice line with a mouse. And you seem to do miracles. You shouldn't belittle yourself like that. When I saw this, I was really mesmerized by it and I was like 'wow...' and like Anna, it does make me cozy. :)

I did not read any comments, and do not know what is going on but.... I like this picture! ^^
Roytje (Nov 25, 2005)
