Not having deer season is bad though. Places that don't have a deer hunting season, like Red Top Mountain in Georgia, have a real and seriously scary deer over population. There are so many deer in Red Top that they have eaten all of the available food, food that not only they but other animals need to survive. The deer have a deadly famine. They grow to sizes no larger than a large german shepard and are scarily thin. They've eaten everything in sight. All the forest grownd cover is gone beacuse it's been eaten. This not only causes the deer to starve to death (much more agonizing than being dispatched by a bullet) but takes away food and habitat of other forest animals. In South Jersy where the deer over population has reach crisis point many underbrush-dwelling birds are disapearing. This is because deer have no natural predators and if left on their own will iver breed and the ecosystem cannot support them all and fails. So SAVE THE DEER HUNTER TO SAVE THE DEER! :)

Yes, but deer go into the road all the time. That can't be helped. The cross the road to get to more food, to find a mate, or just because they feel like it, not just because they are being hunted. Forest fires also chase deer and forest fires aren't evil, infact they are a natural process of a healthy ecosystem. Other deer chase deer into the road. A mature buck has a very large area which he roams and any other deer seen as a threat to his mating chances will be chased out. Deer season happens to fall into the rutting season when deer are more likely to wander. It is unfair to say that hunting causes more deer realted accidents than normal.
I know you may not savor the idea of hunting deer but it is a necessary evil.

i still think hunting season is stupid. Deer are never around the road by me until hunting seaaon. Forest fires may be a sign of a healthy ecosystem but they are still bad, especialy when they spread to houses. Not only do they kill animals but sometimes humans. That is the same with hunting, hunting is very nice, but to do it all the time is pretty bad. I never said hunting deer is evil, i simply said that i dont like it very much. I like it every once in awhile and get your point, but hunting is not my favorite thing in the world, especialy because i cant do it! :) Do not get mad at me just for sayingi do not like hunting very much. If you are a hunter i really respect that! ^^

Heh heh. I'm not mad. ;D And I don't hunt, either. I can't bring myself to actually do it. XP I don't like killing animals. . . I'd feel too bad if I did. At the same time I can see the necessity of hunting. Death is as important, if not more so, to life as birth is. It certainly sucks though. ;P

That's what I've been trying to say, that even if I could I would'nt be able to. I would feel way to guilty to. I think hunting is a necessity sometimes, but to have a WHOLE ENTIRE season for it. I don't like that very much ;) I was really being sarcastic when i said Die deer hunters.^^
