Everything looks just right, except the ears a Little. Elves are awesome.
hideyourface (Sep 8, 2005)
hmm, well i think the hair and ears should eb moved in closer to the face a bit more, and that the eyes are too far apart. Also, both sides of the nose shouldn't be shaded, and there could be some more shading under the eyebrows. Its looking good though. I like the tree in the background.
Rosemary (Sep 9, 2005)
yeah well..firstly..i wasnt really going for a realistic look..second, maybe her ears are longer than u think :P...3rd...well i wanted far apart eyes..face is kinda like someone i know..and with the shading thingy..i didnt really want to put in a light direction but then didnt want her to look flat..i kinda like how the nose turned out..i wanted a kinda clear but dull misty/faded look if that makes sense..
emmamommalag (Sep 9, 2005)
It's looking lovely so far, Rosemary. :)
p3ndragon (Sep 10, 2005)
You should fill in the white behind the hair with a dark base color on a lower layer. Unless you added that white. In that case, I think the lighting should be a bit different on the face like hideyourface said. I know ye aren't done yet :D
But what do I know right >_>
hideyourface (Sep 11, 2005)
the reason I said to move the hair and ears in is because it looks like the head is reallyyy wide. I didn't mean for you to make them shorter. And the nose looks nice, but I really cant see a natural situation where the shading would end up like that.
Phil (Sep 11, 2005)
its a fantasy pic shading has no meaning here if u ask me...
LasRever (Sep 14, 2005)
She looks more elvish then fairy-like. And yah, shading shouldn't matter that much. Iterpret it how you like, but it's really the artists decision. She created it! :D Anyways, great drawing, yes very minty ;)

*sigh* think i let this picture and some of the comments get to me too much...to be honest it made me completly go off drawing...i havent done a thing "arty" in 2 or so weeks which isnt like me..i..liked this picture when i 1st posted it but now i cant stand to look at it anymore...think i'll just set it as finished and leave well alone....guess i gotta dig up some confidence from somewhere before i draw something again lol..(something ive always lacked) grr...
