I had one of these before. A more of a help out a n00b out collaborations.

It's to improve the skills of the lesser talented. I'm sick of the bad drawings and having to comment/ see comments about how you need to improve, but people don't listen. So here's how it works. The drawing already needs to be partially done. Then, if you need help, I will help with lineart, coloring, backgrounds, details, proportions , etc. (Note, I can only use Shi and Paintbbs) I will only do this with people that have trouble with something.

I'll post a list of people who need help. If any other more expirienced people want to help out, i'll put you up here, too.

Helpers- Knockoff, Squee
Being Helped. No one.

QUOTE. "It's to improve the skills of the lesser talented." I'm not quite sure if you are being serious, but if you are, you should re-look over the forum post.

The only two individuals on this post are you two. XD And Maiko, you don't need help. Your art is fine the way it is~ Leave the improvement to those who need it. :D

Well I would like help. I have a hard time with backgrounds and shading. Porportions aren't best with me. Am I qualified?

Nice thread except I'm not sure the "lesser talented" users are willing to come here. They seem to think we insult them on purpose. And I don't think I could help though...I don't know what I'm doing half the time (or more). ^^;

Knockoff (Jul 11, 2005)
Sure, inatyrb. When you need help on the drawing, let me know.
Nekodesu, I agree, but last time I got a few people that wanted the help, so i'm hoping some more will come here and take the help.

Alright.. I will be doing something as soon as i get Java reinstalled on my comp. For some reason my computer went weird and claims that I don' t have java installed anymore. Not only that, but i can't keep any cookies anymore. Checked to see if i have a virus, and no virus was detected. I'm confused.
I was also supposed to be helped last time but wasn't... Maybe this is a catch up thing instead.^^

Yeah. A few people asked me, never really contacted me on what they wanted help on. Just send me a memo if you'd like help on a picture, alright?

HI~I want some HELP~~^^
ACtually I am using a mouse, and the lines get to places that I don't want them to~(simply-I can't control the Mouse well~)
Are there any tips or what eva you guys can tell me~

Also, since I am new here, i am one of those who are LESS TALENTED~^^
I don't know any techniques as you guys know alot of them, I just simply draw the outline(with a lot of erasing going on as well), and hardly draw a good dark and bold out line for my pics. There are problems in coloring and I just color them by using the brush==I don't know how to make reflections or wteva that should be done ==

PLX HELP ME~

And finally, I don't know wteva tones of color you guy are talking about in replys~

And really finally, I don't know how to draw properly in computer~

PLX HELP ME~

Using a mouse takes alot of practice to get use to. You're doing pretty well anyways! =D

I don't usually use my wrist to move the mouse. Its all in the fingers, for me. Making outlines/ sketches are a great start, but for more precise lines, you'll have to zoom in a few times. For lineart, I use the watercolor tool (paint BBS) and the pen tool (Oekaki Shi-painter), 0-1 pixel each. You'll have to find the right opacity to make smooth lineart. For me, It's 245 on Paint BBS, and 60-ish on Shi-painter. ( Omg! My secrets? Or has everyone else found that out. =___=; ) Just go over the sketch a few times on a different layer, and you'll have nice lineart.
~Layers = a must for seperating lineart form coloring.~

Take your time. Be patient. That's what I've learned! I can just spend hours on the lineart, and it's be worth it!

Oh! And toying with the speed of your mouse would be a little helpful. ( On Windows: Control Panel --> Mouse --> Speed ) I get very picky about my mouse speed whenever I get a new mouse. n__n;;

THX~Hakkai~
and also~ do you do sketch before you draw? I mean...on that pic. Cuz I usually use it lighter like 60 STH on paint BBS(The lascaux sketch thing~) and I find it easier?! MAYBE~ yea~ I think your advise do me a lot of help~^^ THX~ I am going to try them ASAP~

P.S. i try the mouse control~you think its better for it to be slower or faster?

Sketching before you draw is a GREAT idea, very helpful.

My settings on the mouse speed is pretty fast. =/
