Derrick-Here's a little tip about art. When you make a piece (especially such as abstract art), it's not about making the image just look cool or interesting. It should have a theme of some sort; telling a story about something, expressing something, etc, etc. When you do something just to go for "cool" or "interesting," usually what happens is you get a "chaotic piece" without balance or anything with actual thought. The less thought you put into it, the less impressive it will turn out. And like Icats has pointed out, when you put a piece up for interpretation, it loses more (if not all) of its credit in showing you dunno what you were going for. There are things to think about such as balance (could be placement of shapes or volumes of objects and so on), symmetry, theme, etc. If you look to impress your audience, it's gonna take some thought and the ability to execute it well.

Calm down Gigandas, not everyone has as much talent as you. From personal experience, i say you don't always have to put thought into it. I find most if not all, of my good art comes from pure instinctive, impulsive drawing rather than putting thought into balance, composition, layout, etc. Not all of us have that kind of artistic brain power or the patience.
Yes i will do that when i do my high school painting assessment, but it's not something i would do here, unless it was a piece i was planning to spend a good few hours on.
I think it's a very interesting looking drawing you got there Derrick ^.^

*sigh*.....I said if he's looking to impress, then you might want to consider some of those things. And I didn't B.S. what I said either. They actually teach you that kinda thing in college art. I was just sharing. Comments aren't just supposed to be patting each other on the back. It's also his decision whether to take it or leave it.

Right. :}

I never put any thought into what I draw. I just let It flow.

I wouldn't call this abstract. I'd say It's more cartoony.
And just because you don't know what It is dosen't mean I don't know.

Just feel the flow of the color.

Hate It Like It It's all the same to me.

I draw because I love to draw, and I had fun drawing this.
