This is... Amazing... So close to the real thing, it's scary... I must say... You are... VERY VERY gifted! Diid you do it with a mouse? or a tablet? I can't even do aa scetch like this in pencil! then again, i'm not a very gifted artist.. lol.... Ad for a background, why not make it not actualy a sceene but several pictues i one. Like, this is the first picture and start another picture below it!.... *nods nods*

i havent seen naraku (sp?) but i see this and maybe 3 other characters often. the character design is tremendous and you pulled it exactly. great pose, expression, smoke, and coloring. cant wait to see this finished.

I think it would've looked better with a more subtle dark background.

I looked at some other stuff with the background but this is the only thing I did that looked even remotely ok

I think the head in the background is fine, but maybe consider changing the contrast/brightness/opacity or something to improve the juxtaposition

I think even plain black in the background with maybe some airbrushed orange and red or something would look better. Just so you focus more on gaara and the sand.
