reminds me of my son..... the terror at the thought of war, and the sadness and anger that it so obviously creates.... Jake makes a point to watch the news sometimes... I don't necessarily like him seeing all that... but he seems determined to know and makes statements like "war is bad for life"..... and I still think, like I said before, "thou shalt not kill".... our country should stay out of other countries if all we're gonna do is destroy them and then say, "oh can we help you clean up now".... so stupid ... let the others do what they're gonna do, they'll get theirs... we all do.

Yeah this is U2's most famous CD cover-I remember reading a story on the little boy who posed for the photo & he's now about 20+ :O
Anyway,this is a really good rendition-looks alot like it. Nice one ;)

I love how you did this one in stages. It was great to see the development. You really captured the intensity of the eyes. And, the stylized hair is perfection. Very good.

heh thankyou everybody for your nice comments :).. I really enjoyed the black and white, it was a fun picture to draw. heh there is a long story as to how i stubbled across the ref, but heck.. just shows.. art is everywhere!!

I honestly meant to comment on this the first and second and third time I dropped in to look at it and got distracted every time and went away without saying anything. It's all of those wonderful adjectives that we all overuse around here. All of the good ones. :D

I love this picture. How did you do it? This is one of the best pictures i've ever seen. My favorite part is the hair. You did so well on it. Really I think your getting good. At first you got off bad but now your a pro. I hope you keep it up and draw some more drawings of people. >;)
