2draw is gonna go down tonight at 10PM PST until the end of the month due to bandwidth problems. It will still be able to accept image submissions once it goes down, but you should submit any drawings you start then before then if possible.

I hope this is the only month this happens, but alas is a necessary measure. The caching system has helped (meaning 2draw was up for a few more days than it would have been), but alas was not implemented soon enough to avoid this downtime.

We'll see what's to come.

This is not official yet (didn't get a chance to ask cello), but I suspect that he won't mind. :)

For those who might care, I have founded a #2draw IRC channel on irc.rizon.net
To get there,

1. Get an IRC client, for example, www.mirc.com
2. Get on the client and type /server irc.rizon.net -j #2draw in the status window.

For those too addict to 2draw to be without the community for a few days. ;)

How about letting us know exactly how much it would cost for you to get a new server or whatever you need, and we'll up our donations or something (at least I will and I know for sure there are a few others that would). Mine for this month is currently sitting on the buffet unmailed because I'm a dingbat but I'll mail it today.

I agree with DBA, I will also help, and I am sure many others will also :) so far I can still see everything.

To elaborate on Archmage's instructions,
1. Install an IRC client, such as mIRC, which is available for download at http://www.mirc.co.uk/ (click on Download mIRC on the left side)
2. Run your client. On startup, a window will probably pop up with spaces to put in your name, e-mail, and nickname. Fill these in and click "OK."
3. A window will be open with the heading "Status: not connected" or something like that. Type what Zeratul said in the box at the bottom of it:

/server irc.rizon.net -j #2draw

YES. OLDSCHOOL.

edit: additionally, it works if you just copy and paste the above text into the status window

I have the pictures now... so the IRC client will allow us to be here even though the direct server is over the bandwidth?

Hi everyone! I agree that it is sad that 2draw will be going down. But, to pass the time, everybody should log onto World of Warcraft! Howeverm they have server problems too, and they even charge 15$ a month!

I hate world of warcraft! My computer is connected to the one in my house downstairs and whenver someone plays that game down there, my computer gets so slow! And your welcome brytani (i also thing i can do better and compare myself to the great artists on this site ^^;;)
