ok...hmmmm do the fingers look at all normal >< they dont to me...
emmamommalag (Jan 15, 2005)
It's coming along great, dixie. The fingers look fine to me but there are pickier people here who will likely tell you if they're not. hehe I love the amount of expression you've gotten into their faces.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 15, 2005)
I think for the style you're acquiring here everything looks fine, it doesn't have to be perfect. The feeling is actually what counts (to me, anyway), and this has it. Perfect technical art can be sterile and unfeeling and just not any good as far as depicting emotion. You are still improving and I'm glad you're feeling well enough to be back drawing here again.
dixielandcutie (Jan 15, 2005)
aw thanks you guys, i think im gonna give it one more try and then leave it...i definitely like this one...and im glad to be drawing again too...hehe, i missed the whole crazy lot of ya ;)

hmmm >< dang it still needs work
Zack (Jan 16, 2005)
This is already great, Dixie. Good proportions and texture. To be picky for criticism, I'd say her left (our right) arm's clothing folds are less convincing than the rest of her clothing. Also, her hair is flat, could use some volume. It doesn't stand out much from the dark upper part of the background. Glad to see you back again too.
inatyrb (Jan 16, 2005)
That's really nice. I think its from that commercial with the old guy talking about like $0.80 a week or something. Look great!
Axil62 (Jan 16, 2005)
Very pastel looking. I like to look at it.
dixielandcutie (edited Jan 16, 2005)
Thank you! I'll work on those Zack...and thanks for the space too. >< You rock!
Inatyrb, that's exactly what it is. A feed the children ad or something. I just thought it was a very poignant looking image. So, yea...hehe.
Glad you like to look at it Axil. lol

Oooookay. Break time for a while, then back to the drawing board. *giggle* Ok, okay, maybe it's not -that- funny.

you did an awesome job on this... every picture you paint comes out lookin' sooo sweet... I think if this were mine the only thing I'd work on a tiny bit more was the area on the girl's chest by her brother's head... You did an awesome job on their clothes ((dix))

There is a book called "The Clay Marble" that I had to read for junior literature. This is perfect for the cover. It is.
