alright, so we all know the idea box has some of the weirdest things to draw. but considering this massive artist block, does anyone have any ideas what to draw, or how to keep myself from running out or ideas? i mean, how do all you people come up with all this inspiration?

Look at the world around you. Outdoors, indoors, and in between. Music, books, and imagination. That's our inspiration. The people we know and the people we meet. The people we love and hate. The dates, months, days, weeks, and years of our lives. The pets we have or our friends have. The sky, the earth, the water ontop of it. The clouds and birds in the sky. The tadpoles that occupy the ponds. A feather, a leaf, or mearly air. Our inspirations can come from these things or in your heart.

wow...yeah, that does explain a ton of what i was hoping for, and thank you. but i guess the motivation to draw the things i see, just isnt quite all there. and my imagination is shot....i need sleep

I like the idea box. It's funny. But I have a hard time drawing those ideas...

itting yourself in the head with a hammer works, but is bad for your health, so don't do it too much. Read more books, that always is great for imagery. music. Oh, Alcohol, that helps too. Just kidding on the alcohol, the hammer is iffy though. <:}

I look at things like squee said. After awhile I try to take notice to bends and folds in clothing, the way trees move in the wind. Things like that. Try to replicate what I am seeing, But with my own twist, my own touch. I don't know, whatever floats your boat. When I was younger I would just draw random lines, until it looked like something to me. Then I would make it into what I thought it looked like. Its kinda interesting, and you never know exactly what its going to turn out like!

and u did it all with the help of alcohol, smoking and drugs..

Shhhh.... they weren't supposed to know that part....
BTW- What is an idea box? I have never heard of such a thing...

yeah, i've started scribbling things that pop into my head while listening to music

stare at poop and draw a poop monster or watch TV until your eyes shinrk and shrivel to the back on their sockets. :D

xD i've done that once or twice before....stare at the tv i mean...not to thrilled about the poop

X3 Haha me neither. But I did find a mother fucking huge terd in the toilet before and my brother didn't flush it (it was his) and he accused it of being my doing.

Haha! That must have been nice miss Whitney! Why would he not take credit of creating it? Poop is a kind of artwork! <:D
