It's short for "emotional". It's a stupid fad where people dress in dark nerdy clothes, listen to emo bands and pretend to cry all the time.

i have some emo friend. i hate them. they complain all the time. they listen to the used and kawksly workman... and slit themselves. and complain alll the time. did i mention they complain all the time?

well...wow...you have no clue... emo is just where they let their emotions show...rather than keepin them inside...emo ppl aren't depressed all the time...that would be goth pretty much...
i like emo...they are so real...i tottaly take that as an insult...i admire emo people...i am myself...the music is awesome...and so are the ppl!!! emo Rules!!!

Goths arent depressed all the time. Goths can be happy. Depressed all the time people are wanna be goth. Real goths are like.. into demonic and etc.
