I must say, That is sweet. I'm verymuch looking forward to seeing it done. I especially like that its the oldschool starscream and not the new bootleged one they have on cartoon network’s crappy adaptation of a classic.
thanks. i used to watch this eons ago between jem and gi joe before school. thats about the extent of my transformer knowledge, but im glad you enjoy it :) ta!
How about drawing in Astroboy ( the old version ) kicking this robot's ass. Professor Elephant could be farting in the background, just for grins. Oh, and one of Josie's Pussycats could be stroking Astroboy's pointy ear, hat, head protrusion-like thing, whatever it was supposed to be. That would be cool.
How about a mech from Battletech? Hmmm... maybe a Madcat, also called Timberwolf. I had a hard time finding a good reference, maybe you could find a better one. Or use a mediocre one and kick it up few notches. Feel free to go crazy with it, I'd love to see a mech pic done with style for once. You are officially the coolest.
edit: though not particularly innovative stylistically, Mike Jackson's mech art is pretty well done
I like this, I'm not so much a transformer fan , I like Battletech better. This looks great so far. Hey I didn't even read all the comments and lookie there, a Battletech fan. My best friend in N.Y. is a capt. or something like that and helps out with all the conventions in the east coast area, he's been playing for years.
Hmm... the lineart's great, but the shading's a bit confusing. It seems like for the arms the light source is to the right, and for his shoulder things it's to the left. Maybe having a background to establish a context might help, or using a reference of different robot art just to get a sense of how to use light and texture. Transformers can be pretty tough to work with, though, on account of their bright colors.
