Study. Part 2.

Still pretty iffy. But I'm starting to get the hang of this noticing every color change thing.

:) one thing, i bet her eyeball isnt pure white, thats hard to let go of, making it totally white...sometimes its a shade of red, or even blue. i love her makeup
Nightmare (Nov 20, 2004)
I would make the white a very light shade of yellow. Or maybe a light shade of red?

The iris and pupil are great!

Only criticism I can offer is that the eyebrow looks like it was glued on, flat, and not so much a collection of hairs. Definitely agree with Dave, though.

Thanks guys! Zack: I have the hardest time with eyebrows. lol They always look painted on. -_-

Edit: I just went back to the ref... and yep.. her eyeball is like a tiny hint of blue. I'll keep an eye out for that on my next try. :-)

I saw your other eye drawing too and Icats has given you some great advice that I can see has improved your skill quite a bit in realism here.I agree with Zack's comment about the eyebrow, making it look more natural would help enhance the overall look to this.I dunno exactly if you wanted to do anything more to the skin around the eye, but it you were to make the entire picture look real, you should be able to make out the small bag of skin under the eye as well as some more highlights on the skin, whether it be the refletion of the oil on the skin or just the brightness from the source of light.I have to say that tear duct is pretty damn amazing though. If you also wanna bring more life to the eye, adding specks of bright reflection into the iris would do just that.Keep up the good work.

"For dry, red eyes use Clear Eyes...wow..." lol
Anna (Nov 20, 2004)
Thanks, Gig! This time, I wasn't really concerned about the skin around her eye... mainly because the ref mostly had one color for the skin. The lady didn't have bags! hah. Made my work easier. Anyhow.. I'll pick a better ref so I can concentrate on that stuff you mentioned. I think I just liked it because of the makeup. :-P

I can't say anything else all the others have said. So I'll just say this looks nice. Good one anna.
