How many 42 year old's can say they wrecked a brand new 68 Firebird?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 5, 2004)
Was it 1968 when you wrecked it? Because if you were driving at the age of 6, I don't see how you could reach the pedals and see over the dash and stuff. I really like this picture, by the way. I like the car, I like the color.
Axil62 (Sep 5, 2004)
Yes it was 1968 when I wrecked it, and I was 6.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Sep 5, 2004)
No shit! Really?!? I should've been hanging out with you instead of that boy that only had a bicycle.
me007 (Sep 5, 2004)
Whoa... that is crazy cool.. nice detail to... everything... u drove when you were 6... maybe that is why we have so many accedents in America.. too many 6 year olds driving their Firebirds on the highways.... but that is awsome.. great job!
Axil62 (edited Sep 5, 2004)
Yes really. They left me in it while they were in the bar. I got bored, hopped into the front seat, started messin with all the shiney cool knobs and stuff....pulled er into neutral. Was parked on a fairly steep incline. We rolled in to the dry cleaner building. Ooops.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 5, 2004)
You won't be 42 till October or something, though, right?
Axil62 (Sep 5, 2004)
That's true. Oct 15'th.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 5, 2004)
That's what I thought. Whose car was it?
Axil62 (Sep 5, 2004)
My step dad's.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 5, 2004)
Good job on crashing it into a building without getting hurt yourself... lol *insert wicked grin here*

Did you guys know that Michael Jackson called the people who produced the film "Jersey Girl" and wanted to make a movie with them. He said he wanted the film to be about him and a little boy. And when ever the little boy wanted, he could turn michael into a magical car and drive him around. And michael could turn the boy into a magical car too, and drive him around. And they would drive each other and have fun. I think he was going to call it "Riding in Cars With Small Children" The producers declined. Funny little fact right there. By the way, cool pic.
me007 (edited Sep 5, 2004)

A dream that you were driven around by michael jackson?!? *Reads rest of me007's comment* oh wait..... nevermind.
Axil62 (Sep 5, 2004)
What did he do? You don't want to hear about that, trust me.
me007 (Sep 5, 2004)

damnskippytakn-a-break (Sep 5, 2004)
Beautiful. Can I catch a ride? ' }
Gigge (edited Sep 5, 2004)
Wow. Your story beats mine. I put the car into neutral when I was 3. I started rolling down a hill in DC. Mom turned around and told me to pull the parking brake, as if I had any idea what a parking brake was. I pulled the turn signal instead and broke it off. Luckily my foot hit the parking brake when I started thrashing in a panic. I only made it halfway down the hill.

Edit: But, I did manage to crash the car at 16. That's another story....
Axil62 (Sep 5, 2004)
I think your story is funnier though, what with breaking the turn signal and all. lol
davincipoppalag (Sep 5, 2004)
As long as you still don't drive like a 6 year old, it's ok. Many do.. especially those ones in the big SUV's you can't see around, that just cut into my lane without a damned signal , the SOB, and then went 2 mph and drifted into the right and then.... oh..wait.... I meant to say... this is a nice picture..

It looks all glossy and purdy. Shame it had to be toast in the tragedy of '68.
jayceepearl (Sep 8, 2004)
I'm guessing I was with you?
Axil62 (Sep 8, 2004)
No.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 8, 2004)
This also reminds me of when my son was about 4, we had this little volkswagen bug parked over on our other lake lot, and he climbed in and played with the gears until it rolled into a cedar tree. He got out, came in, and proudly told me "Mommy, I drove the car." I had forgotten all about that. I wish we had kept that little car.
Axil62 (Sep 8, 2004)
Sell ya one.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 8, 2004)
I don't want the one you have, I want the one he rolled into the tree. It was my mother-in-law's before we got it, and she's still mad at my husband for getting rid of it. What was the tragedy of '68?

I just got my driver's license 6 months ago. I keep getting told off for speeding. Not my fault I always gotta get places in a hurry.
