Many times I come across absolutely stellar art here on 2draw.net and wonder what serves as inspiration to the most of you. Is it food? Is it anime? Is it animals? I would love to hear what are the muses of your illustrations and how it came about to be that way.

For me it's usually strong emotions. Love, hate, lonelyness etc. I usualy listen to whatever music suits my mood while I'm drawing here, I think it helps me convey. Sometimes I see something that evokes one of those emotions, sometimes it's something I'm experiencing, sometimes I just wan't attention even from strangers on the other end of this machine.

Mostly, it's the amazing stuff some of the others post here. It inspires me to try.. then I do.. and..I need another inspiration...

I had to laugh at what friend said.

Uhmm.. well. My inspirations are the events that happen in my life. If I feel lonely because of something, I tried to put that emotion on canvas. If I find something completely adorable, I want to share it with others! It's all about the mood and emotion.

Well.. not only that; if I saw something amazing on t.v., I want to bring out something amazing too. I just want to feel "accomplished".

my inspirations come from several different things..music, other peoples art, life, things i've seen, read or heard. sometimes ideas just pop out of my head and i put them to paper etc.

edit: also i have this urge to draw something. i think i'd be totally mad if i didn't....must draw

errr, I started drawing soon after a good friend of mine introduced me to anime/manga... I started out trying to draw inuyasha fanart, and went on from there... I was inspired essentially by people who really could draw... now, I'm inspired by books, anime/manga, movies, animals, and my emotions.... XD

I feel inspired to draw so I can one-up people.

And get cash.

The need comes from boredom, I think. The inspiration comes from emotions, which I rarely have, so music is a lot of help. I also need energy, which I rarely have. That can't be remedied.

WHAT INSPIRES ME TO DRAW ART? Good question. In fact, that's a great question. It is the world around me, basically. I look around the room (living room that is) and just admire the beauty and ponder on the life we live in. The peacefulness of the place and so on. Then on that moment, I let my mind wander in oblivion, and let all the different shapes paint its own in my head. lol (if you know what I mean) I have a wild imagination. (but not too wild)

And just like what other people have mentioned here, it's my emotions that inspires me to draw as well. Anything that stirs my emotions. I guess if I'm lonely, I draw something that would enlighten me. Or sometimes I don't even understand my moods so I end up drawing something that makes no sense at all. Just random pictures spontaneously combusted in a -- I dunno. Just the way my brain works. I'm also inspired by other very talented artists in 2Draw.net. :)

Inspiration...? Many, mant things like my dreams ^^
In most cases it's symbolism, myths, legends and stuff like that. But also there are things and people that sorrounds me.
I look at them & start to think how it would be if...

I draw here because I want attention from my family, mostly my big brother who is one of the people on here with "stellar art work."

hey Farore, I really like your comment. Draw your dreams and anything symbollic. I find it a lot more interesting when people draw things that look really mind-boggling. I wish I could do some illusional pictures. I like that "what if it looks like this" idea... lol *thumbs up*

Money is a nice driving force but all in all, I gotta draw man, it's fun and keeps me sane.

Really? hmm. That's interesting, I've always thought that an inspiration to draw was to through boredom. It stirs emotions and moods. That also helps. =)

Anime. Once I started getting into anime I started drawing.. WELL. XD Yeah.. I used to draw these deformed people things in 3rd grade... Now, I basically only draw anime... And usually why I draw is because I am bored or because I feel like it.

EDIT: Also, some other people's drawing inspire me or give me ideas or something. :D
