I doubt a tablet's to make you better. I don't use one, and some people like my shabby art. Otherwise, your shading is very nice, as well as the background layout.
They don't help a whole lot. It's easier to make your drawings then it is with the mouse but the quality doesn't exactly change a whole lot... Most of my stuff looks the same, it just doesn't take as long.
One would help me, as I can't really keep my wrist still. And making it easier to draw, frankly would improve my quality, because I think it's too difficult to tkae time with every detail, so...

Honestly, if you feel the need to use a tablet, you ought get a good one, along with the time you have to spend getting used to it. If used properly, a tablet is much more powerful than a mouse. Especially professional works.
