Working on it, getting in the basics and so forth...
Reference: the cover of my "Paul McCartney at the Cavern Club" DVD.
There's something wrong with his mouth, but no matter how many times I redraw it I can't get it to look right. Help?

I love Paul McCartney but I don't really see him in this. Could be the mouth issue too but dunno. The eyes seem a bit too far apart and the nose looks a lil short and the mouth probably looks off because you cut the chin off too far over. It needs to expand out to almost the edge of the mouth. The hairline is also off alot... Keep workin on it and it'll be great though I'm sure. I can't wait ta see what he looks like finished.

BTW, this may not look like Paul the Beatle cos it's Paul as he is now, not as he looked forty years ago, which is how people would normally think of him.

Working on shading now, I think it's looking better. Hair is still kinda screwed up. I will fix it when I can find a better reference. Nose is shorter than it really ought to be, but I rather like it like that. I tried making it longer and it looked funny.

Great pic Ari-chan! And you say you can't do realism. Okay, the mouth is a little tilted. I think. Unless his mouth is like that. But I would just rotate it a little to fit his head angle. Then it's gold!
