Marcello! The Pressure thingy on your applet dosent work with my drawing tablet! Is that because my drawing tablet connects via the USB port? Or is my drawing tablet just not up to it? I have obviously installed the thing u need! lol.

Please Help.

You can try the JTablet test applet, see if it works there. If it gets an error let me know what that error is.

hi marcello, i need your help again...
when installing the JTablet2 i get this error msg...
Error opening file for writing: "C:\Program Files\Cellosoft\JTablet\jtablet.jar"

after clicking "Ignore", i get another error msg...
Error opening file for writing: "C:\WINDOWS\System32\jtablet.dll"
after clicking "Ignore" again, the setup is able to complete sucessfully, however the tablet pressure sensitivity does not work :(
I am using WinXP. both IE and mozilla didn't work :((

crisann: that's because the previous JTablet version is in use, you'll have to close all browsers that are using JTablet. On IE this is tricky, since it likes to stay running in the background. My best suggestion, if you aren't familiar in the ways of hacking IE, is to simply restart your computer, and install the new JTablet before running anything else.

Fin: What did Jtablet test say?

It didnt say anything. It just dosent work. Instead of changing the thickness of the line while im increasing or decreasing the pressure all it does is one line the same thickness. Would it be because my tablet connects via the USB port? or do most tablets connect via that?

er... i just re-installed successfully but the pressure sensitivity thingy still doesn't work :'D
mine connects through USB too...
i think it doesn't matter, even without pressure sensitivity support, lascaux is still very powerful, i'm still trying to familiarise with all those features ^^;;
**pats marcello on the back** well done :D

Fin: what does it say at the top of the applet in the little bar.
It SHOULD say: JTablet Test v0.3 (plugin v.:0.2 BETA 2)
Also, if some error occurs while trying to load JTablet, it will display the message at the bottom of the window (the edge of the canvas).
And last of all, if it is working, as soon as you touch the tablet to the applet, numbers will appear at the bottom.

If the top bar says that, there is no error at the bottom, and still no numbers on the bottom when you 'click' your tablet on the applet, then I'm really stumped.

As for USB, that shouldn't matter, I have a serial one myself, but provided your tablet supports WinTab, then it should work with JTablet. If it's a Wacom tablet, it should use wintab, otherwise, I'm not positive how that works. They should all support wintab. All new tablets use USB, and while I haven't asked anyone what they're using when it works, I'm pretty sure most are using USB.

Right so, let me know how that goes. Crisann: can you try JTablet test as well?

There won't be a next version if I don't know what the problem is...
