just out of curiosity, which artists are most influential to you?

personally, Julia Lichty, mooncalfe (ross someone?) and Estrigious come to mind. and of course Salvador Dali (my god whos art is all over my walls), and H.R. Giger are really great too, though i can never hope to be as great as them.

and more locally, zappo, hakkai and kasha have all inspired me tons. awesome drawings guys.

wahh. Mooncalfe is so awesome! Wow, thats some pretty good dark inspriation. Hah, glad to be some sort of inspiration! <3

I've bought some work from Connett on eBay, his work is really expressive and drug induced. :) Xod has influenced me as well, just look at my work on Fearsome Oekaki..or maybe you shouldn't, hehe. My favorite artists are mostly low brow and/or commercial, here are some links to 4 of my favorites:

hmm..John William Waterhouse....(love pre-raphelites)..Alfons (Alphonse?) Mucha...basicly i like drawing pretty girls in big dresses:P

Alphonse Mucha, Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec Monfa (just cause I like saying his entire name), Dali, Da Vinci.

Online, I really dig Cara Mitten, Ursula Vernon, Aido (Yuko) Rakaen, Amelia Stoner, and Marina Gardner. Those off the top of my head... they all can be found on Elfwood.

And from around here; Kasha, Everdream, Furyofroy, Snoozy27, when she draws, Axil, and Cloxboy has some damn keen style.

i like various different artists, Michaelangelo's drawings, Winston Smith (the guy who did the dead kennedys album covers etc), Anne Stokes (one minute silence and some other bands album covers etc), Dali, SHOK1, Pixar is awesome! Storm thorgeson (sp?) who did pink floyds album covers, Banksy, David Lloyd, Scott McCloud, Squaresoft, Nick Park, and several others. i can't think of them all at the mo though, brain switched off!

I was inspired By Leonardo De Vinci, VanGough, Matisse, and Michaelangelo. GO fig. and My favorit, Edgar Allen Poe. he wrote my favorite poems, like Annabelle Lee, and some other ones.. His work is so dark and mysterious, it brings out the real me.

I was inspired by Salvador Dali, the Spanish surrealist. I like his style, though some of his work are a bit graphic and they're a bit overreaching sometimes. but I guess that's just me. I might need to adjust more to the wild imaginations of this artist. I know I have a wild imagination as well. But not wild enough for me to be able to darw it out. lol know what I mean? lol

Oooh... and there are people around here that inspire me as well. Just to name some of the really talented artists around here like, DeadlyBlondeArcher, EverDream, etc. you guys rock! =)
