He looks like he feels empty. I would have thought that even if you'd named it something else. Or maybe you could have named it Devoid. I don't know how you always get so much feeling in your stuff with such simplistic figures, but you always come across.
This is really nice. good choice of colours. I like the border. I think this will look nice framed in real life.
It really looks like a girl though. But inorder to make it look more male, i suggest shortening the eyelash.
You may even try to lenghten the "wrinkle" of the mouth to ( the one that moves to the nose when we get older). You can also try making the adams apple slightly more defined. Another thing that might work is adding a very small ammount of blue that represents facial hair. But this is if you want him to look more masculine.
But this pic really depicts emptyness. The picture to me is nearly like a call for help. This person really needs the Light of the world in his life (if hes non-fictional)
Do you know this person, or is it all created in your mind?
But really nice art-nouveau type artwork
go well

thanks MX for the suggestions, but Clox is right. It's my intention to make him look feminine, I can't really much help it, my style I guess. I really like them this way >:3
I really like the colors as well.. the subtle hints of fleshy tones on his face just does so well with the main color scheme. The style, as always, is perfect.
Uhhh, yeah so if you're drawing a guy with long hair like that, I don't think you're intention is to portray the manliest of men in the first place. Well for me I am going to pretend that it is a female cause I'm really not hot for the feminine guys... no really.
I won't say much, but I really like the border you added in the last edit, it's a great way to enclose the piece as opposed to leaving it open as it was. This is also one of the only pieces that I've really wanted to go back and look at the progress of the piece, well done! It's also quite amazing how little time you spend on each part and yet getting so much out of it.
