As far as I know, not only the drawing(quality) itself is taken into consideration for showcase, also certain reasons for drawing a subject, the title or whatever weigh in with the decision. Even I have one in showcase (2007) that most of you would say, whát, whý?! It just has somethink to do with timing and mods to happen to catch a glimps of it.
