I can see you used the effect tool here. It makes whispy effects which I don't think you would really want for a stormy image.
I think if you want to do a stormy sky you should look at some cumulonimbus clouds. Search on Google images.
These kinda look to "pewny" to be storm clouds. I think you should look at some "beefy" clouds.

Thx for the input Fin.... Lord knows I can use all the help I can get . LOL I sometimes "do" hate using the effect tool... I'll try scratching 'em next time.
