I love doing still life in real oils... seem to be able to get the best realism effect w/ that... but some ppl find it boring. I don't think you're having a terrible time at all...this is very vibrant and full of life for a "still", kind of looks like the apples are about to start rolling away... kind of like they do at the grocery store when I go to get some and there is a huge avalanche all over the produce section. And then I round the corner and hit the stack of cans with the basket and ummm.... yep... (lol)

I think it looks good, you got the color down.
The second farthest one could use those black lines out, and make a full dark spot.
It still looks good. You just need a little work,!
