Just to let you know, a spambot recently hit my forums and posted canned promotional messages linking to 2draw all around my forums. The message looked like this:
wanna draw in colour? want bigger canvas sizes? want to be part of a helpful and friendly drawing community? if so check out -- www.2draw.net

There are two possibilities:

2draw actively spams other websites to promote itself
Some doesn't like 2draw very much, and wants to smear their name by spamming other websites with it

I couldn't find any email addresses to send this to, so I posted it here. Please could one of the staff provide an explanation. Thanks!

EDIT:
The spam originated from a user signing up under the email address solidarity19@hotmail.com . Using Google, I found that this is the same email address as one of the members on your site - "to_tired_for_sex". You might want to complain to his ISP about this.

i didnt mean to i just wanted to share this site with fellow christians, i apoligize. it was a stupid mistake and i didnt mean any harm by it.

From my little investigation above, I'm confident 2draw is not to blame. However other webmasters may not drill as deep. This could have been quite bad for the reputation of 2draw, had I not found out what was really happening.

Thanks for the notice. 2draw does not promote spamming on other sites, and frankly does not need to.

I take it by "to_tired_for_sex"'s response that he has stopped. If you continue to have problems please let me know.

He stopped because I banned his IP from all access. ;)

he said he was sorry... and mistakes do happen... no need to keep goin on about it... im sure if you had simply sent him an email showin him the error of his ways he would of stopped..no need to go commando on his ass........

Maybe he wouldn't be 'too tired for sex' if he spent less time doing *promotions*.

I ccertainly hope spamwares are not akin to spywares because I think we all know what happens to spyware makers!

A spambot Is someone like TTFS. Who spams.... And stupid stuff like that. Now, Who's goin' commando on who's ass? I missed that part.
