"In the clearing stands a boxer and a fighter by his trade and he carries the reminders of every glove that laid him down or cut him till he cried out in his anger and his shame "I am leaving, I am leaving!" but the fighter still remains...." ~ Simon and Garfunkle (another favorite)

It looks very sculptured, and much like it has a bronze and pewter finish. Did a great rendering of the physique. Mmmm.... nice.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Mar 18, 2004)
Ummm... I liked v.2 better? edit: I keep looking at it, and now I'm not sure. I like them both. They're both great. I'll just go back and forth. :)

I heartily approve of this. Really nice illustration.
Noremac (Mar 18, 2004)
it looks like his face is exploding... and barfing, or a fishman... either way its awesome
Kasha (Mar 18, 2004)
I like the usage of green. I've always wanted to used green like this. *envies*
davincipoppalag (Mar 18, 2004)
someone should tell him to finish his spaghetti before he gets in the ring... I am guessing there will be more done to this?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 18, 2004)
You never cease to amaze me. It's better than great even before it's finished... *sigh*.
Axil62 (edited Mar 19, 2004)
I think I ruined it. I should have left it at V.4. Marcello, could I have enough space to do one edit? I'm just going to delete a layer.
marcello (Mar 19, 2004)
sure but I would consider it carefully, v5 adds some cool stuff (maybe an intermediate version?)
Kloxboy (Mar 19, 2004)
That kicks ass. That picture packs a punch. That drawing is POWerful...stop being lame Cloxboy, no no, I like it, no.....
dixielandcutie (Mar 19, 2004)
personally, i like v. 3 the best. but thats just me...it rocks though.
mazi (Mar 19, 2004)
awesome, love the mouth. (is his brain exploding?)

the nonblendedness still bothers me.. makes me want to edit it and blend it to death. but hey.
staci (edited Mar 19, 2004)

Screw it, I'm done.
mitsume (Mar 19, 2004)
I like your style.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 19, 2004)
You didn't ruin it. You overworked it a little. I know what you do... it reaches a point where it's great, but you don't see it yet, you look at it and think, but... it could be better if I just do this, and that, and pretty soon...you start to become frustrated and it's overworked. I actually still like v.2 the best. But I understand you, and I like you, and I like your art, and I like all the versions.
dixielandcutie (Mar 19, 2004)
well said dba, lol. and this new version is very cool. i like the silveryish coloring better! awesomeness axil
Porcelain (Mar 22, 2004)
That's wonderful. As I was scanning through the Advanced Art and carefully (or rather, nonchalantly) criticizing each one, I stumbled upon yours. Truly wonderful, Axil -- I always admire your art. You have an amazing style -- Reminds me of Van Gogh (the circles compared to his wavy lines).

wow impressive, another one I wouldn't have recognized as yours had I not known
