Reminds me of this little beach in Sarasota, FL. I used to hang out there and draw, sometimes just take a nap. I remember the water and sand were so bright, burning images into my mind, mixed with the heat from the sun on my body, I would go into this trance like state and listen to the waves...then again that might of been the Canadian Club Whisky, I drank at the time ;)

you really should use a sunshade on the telephoto when you shoot into the sun to reduce the lens flare...oh wait..you DREW this! with a mouse no less... >>you are truly amazing..
ok ok ok...yes a tablet is easier to draw with sometimes..i hope people who dont have one think it gives you magical drawing powers. i mean if you cant draw with a mouse then you arent going to with a tablet either. and this really has nothing to do with the lovely piece here.
Oie! It reminds me of the begining world of Kingdom Hearts, ya know? Now we need Super Cool Riku off to the left! I really like the shine marks for the sun, that is my farorite part, although the leaves of the palms are pretty tight too n.n
Well, tablets would really help when making close-to-perfect LONG curved and straight lines.In fact, lineart in general is hard with a mouse.Kinda why I go with using blotches of colors to do most of my pics because then you can sculpt it into shape.The problem with the mouse is that it's not a finger thing.Pencils are and so are tablets.So we just aren't use to them, therefore, I respect people who are good at it.I'm not trying to offend or argue with anybody here and it's just my opinion so there's no need to fight it^^;.

Icats is absolutely right. You will in fact be worse with a tablet than a mouse when you get one. What tablets ARE good for are doing lots and lots of little tiny strokes, for example, when making a sketchy style picture. The other thing they're very powerful for is coloring, because you can control the flow of "paint" with the pressure.
Some comments on tablet myths: Your lines will not look better than with a mouse, in general they will look worse. You are better off drawing your final "ink version" lineart with a mouse than a tablet. You will not be able to control the pressure well enough to get variable thickness lines that look good. You generally have to do them manually without pressure. Just like on real paper.
However, all things considered, tablets are awesome.
I don't know what you've been doing Marcello, but sounds like you've been using a mouse longer than you've been using a pencil.Because in my case, what I've said IS true and you aren't me so you can't say that can you^^;?I can draw MUCH better lines with a pencil than a mouse.If you want proof I'll e-mail some of my pencil drawings so you can compare it to my lineart here done with a mouse.Besides, that's why they call it an 'opinion' don't they?Because it's based off 'your' experiences.
