Clouds are amazing...you made this look real... what technique do you use for clouds... I'm curious because there seem to be quite a few ways to approach them...

It was gone when you looked again because it blew over to Texas. I saw the same cloud (only it was bigger when it got here). :) It's such a relaxing, uncomplicated picture just like it is.

davinci: On this cloud I used seperate layer, then I blocked in the basic shape with black, then I switched to white, clicked the blend tool on and started working the white into the black until the white was dominant and all that was left of the black was the grey you see and then I selected a small brush and did the whispy parts and then used the blur tool to smooth most of the grays in the cloud.

Obviously it was not a cloud you were seeing, but a UFO attempting to land after severe engine trouble. The cloud-like illusion you saw was actually the very fabric of time and space around the UFO breaking down. On second inspection, they righted their phase-shifting engine and were gone as soon as they came.

ok this is very strange (must be the aliens), but I think I dreamt last night that axil drew another drawing similar to this, only with a bloodred sky and two clouds next to each other. I'm sure there's some perverse meaning behind that.

I was almost thinking about putting a single ":P" as a comment, then realized that another mod would pwn me for doing that. So I will say that I like the minimalism. Pretty strange how it's just kinda floating there, not blending with the background too much, I guess that's exactly what you were going for.

My point being that in the picture, the stylistic difference between the background and the cloud is strange, and that I guess it is exactly what the artist wanted.

umm I have the world's only antique stash... i found an old baggie from 1973 when I cleaned out my college desk..and found some...um.."remnants" from some Acapulco Gold... I am thinking of having it bronzed... or..maybe I will see if it's still any good..and come look at this piccy again...... or..I will be arrested when this is read...
