A few things I learned about Lascaux...
If you have a tablet, here are 2 tips:
a.) to choose a color, you don't need to go to the palette, you just hover your cursor anywhere in your own image, and 'right click' your stylus, that means, click the button 1.
b.) if you customize your stylus to use the button 2 as a mouse MIDDLE button, you can use that to grab the image and move it, and avoid the scroll bars, while you are drawing with a large zoom.
very beautiful again pix...the nose is perfect...but something about it isnt right...i cant put my finger on it...hmm...not sure. but stunning already!
Yea.......There is something thats weird about it....
I think it's something to do with the chin...
Very good anyway.
How long have you been drawing with the applets?
Okay, that does it, Buddy! Where's my portrait? And you better make me beautiful, too! LOL Hey you are really crankin out some good ones. She's one of my favorite actresses. Gotta see Cold Mountain if you like her. :) (Oh, small p.s. if its not finished, I think her left eye might be off kilter a lil bit) I'm sure it'll be perfect when you're done.
This is really good but may I give out some pointers while it's still in progress? I usually can't stand it when people tell me things wrong when I have a completed image. This is turning out lovely however there are a few things that I suggest doing, the arm seems to tapper down to quickly, making it look as if it bends in an awkward way. Also it seems like you have a very strong light source. Try adding a little more highlights at the edge and corner of her jaw. That is all, and remember....they're only suggestions...take care. :)
Still a long way ahead...
I appreciate suggestions and critique, thanks you all.
Nicole Kidman has this pale tone of skin that is so hard to mimic, this drawing is going to take much more effort than I thought.
So far I didn't pay attention to other details, I am still working on her skin color.
This is truly wonderful.
Once again you have an utstanding picture.
The smooth shading the wonderful eyes and the hair!
One thing that bugs my is the her ear lobe looks a little stretched.
Ok, Now its perfect.
Wonderful Job man.
This is very impresive!
Or mabby the inner ear is to small...
Still great job.
Hey Cloxboy, that's what I was thinking, only for me I thought that after she ______, then that's when I'd ______ before the ______. But yeah, pretty much the same thing.
Ever think you could do like the rest of us and actually keep to the space limit, pix? And I don't have any more advice apart from what has been said already..more highlights!
Love it!! I love the lighting and she looks so damn sexy. you captured all her facial features sooo good! and so much details on the earing and hair. Envy...
"...it takes more space to make better drawings" wow pix. hmm...well the picture that, in my opinion, is the best on this website only took 324.1kb. i think sim does awesome work. i think you do awesome work.
dix, do you agree with simulacra? do you think I should try to keep myself to the given space, and stop whining? geez... I didn't expect that from you...
Maybe I should rephrase to: it takes ME more space to make better drawings. I know that this concept it controversial, because even more effort and space won't grant ME a better drawing. But if it bothers you too that I ask for more space, just make it clear, I'd like to know.
STUNNING! Are you finished? It looks very beautiful now! Everything is so perfectly blended you have a great feel for the light....just Wow! Well done! :D
Yes, it is, it's perfect. She's perfectly beautiful in real life and you have done her justice here. sighhh. And I use up alot of those kb file space thingies, too, because of my *painterly* technique I think. I think your pictures deserve all the space they wish to command. :D
WHOA whoa whoa there. sim, please do not drag me into your ranting. it is not my intention to judge or blame or whatever anyone...i was merely stating that the amount of space a picture takes up has nothing to do with the quality of the work. pix, honestly it doesnt matter to me how much space you ask for...i dont always stay within space limits myself... your work is stunning...but i just dont think that insults are necessary, thats all. and sim...that was so not necessary. geeeez yall.
I would just like to say that not only do I admire Pix's talents as an artist, but I admire him as a kind, caring human being. He is always willing to help others, and I have never seen him be anything but kind. That ranting up there sounds like sour grapes to me. (And I swear Simon, if you don't quit staring I AM gonna tell your mother :)
Lol GREAT picture! You captured her innocent sexiness perfectly! however...I think the hair in the version right before last looks better then this latest version...looks more real. Well...suffering from Insomnia so I May be wrong! Lol nighty! or...Morning-y?
You made it exactly like Nicole Kidman, although I think her eyebrows are more arched, but I think she looks better this way. I love your impressions of celebrities.
