Thanks, Lori, Suntan, Wraith, Mr. LV, and Alter Native. I don't often get the time to sit and draw during the summer. This is a face that appears often when I sketch with no specific direction in mind. She has been appearing in my drawings since I was a child. I don't know who she is. One time, many years ago, as a lark, I had a reading from a psychic. She told me that I had been a very large Dutchman who was a portrait painter. Maybe this woman was someone I knew in that lifetime.

Very Cool story. I think I was a kind hearted pooch in my past life.

and just thought i'd mention, the lady in American Gothic is actually suppose to be the farmer's daughter.
