okay thanks for those of you that replied! pen tool... yeah i like the pen tool, at the most opacity, it's pretty good that way... watercolor using for coloring...

i'm no good at lineart, and i was wondering if i could get some help, especially with using the watercolor tool for lineart. i can't seem to get the opacity (is that what it's called?) right so that i don't have to draw so many times to get the lines dark. another thing; out of curiosity, is the pen tool or watercolor tool, or even pencil (etc.) more popular to use?
if someone could please help me with my lineart...advice on how to maybe?

I'm assuming you're using Shi-painter, eh? If you are, I suggest the Pen tool at 255 Opacity (Er, the box with the A next to it, which doesn't make sense, but oh well.)
I've also heard of people drawing thick lines with the Pencil and then using the Smooth Eraser to smooth them out and make them thinner.
You usually want to spend an hour on lineart, unless you are just that good.
I don't think I spend that much time, but that's because I'm just that lazy; not good.

I've never tried the watercolour tool for lineart, I use watercolour for colouring and shading, so I don't think I can help you with that, sorry.

Shi-painter: I just use the pen tool with a large opacity (depends on what I'm drawing) and the smooth eraser to even it out.
Spend an hour on lineart? I thought I was the only one. ^^''

I use the airbrush right now because I haven't installed the Jtablet applet for Java. You can mess with the opacity on that and experiment. (Not that I coukd give any advice anyway, I've only done one lineart image in oekaki-shi-painter.)

I usually use the watercolor tool at 235 Opacity and smooth it out with the eraser at the same opacity.

And if you want your picture to look really good, you should spend 2 hours on it. :)

I used to, but know I don't. I always feel like I'm cheating with the pen tool... besides, watercolor lineart looks better, anyway.

'How you use shi-painter' is a badly asked question. I'm absolutely sure all you want to know about is the newer features.

Am I right? I was about to type up this long, in-depth tool guide which you wouldn't need mainly because you know the tools, not extra features.

Am I right?
