OOOooooh....love the idea, the subject matter, (why didn't I think of that??? :) I especially like the way I can see guy on the lower right twisting his spine ever so slightly to position his knee and hands to exact pressure under and around the painting like you'd have to do to hold and balance it...great job on that. Like lots of other things about it, but I rattle on too much. It's just too cool for school...(Yes I'm 12 yrs old today) too cool for the BANK, even. ;)

Hard to understand that amount of money for a painting. Well done, itchy.

i find it hard to understand having that amount of money to spend ...on anything....Pablo must be having a good old chuckle(on the other side)
..yes, DBA the figures hanging the painting are what intially attracted me, tho now i have a greater appreciation for Picasso-- quite difficult to reproduce
heres a thought--- could this be the most expensive oekaki ? 102 million shites. bids anyone?

Frankly,I think itchy's is better than the Picasso. (My opinion.) Itchy's work was far harder to do,trickier, and took more detail, patience, than the Picasso. All the work of Itchy's is more delicate, subtle, and that was never a trait that Picasso could do.He was just a big, bold BULL. I think it's easier to make sweeping, bold statements; but the subtle, tricky hard stuff of depicting reality, without making it too stiff, is very demanding. Excellent, Itchy.

being a successful artist is just as much about being a good salesman as being a good artist. you have to understand the works in the context of the times, how they are presented, and how they are received.

monetary worth is arbirtrary, anyway. why do people pay thousands of dollars for some t-shirt that a rock star wore? if I were to tell you I had a painting by pablo picasso in my museum, you'd be far more interested in visiting than if I said I had some schmuck you've never heard of. that's worth money.
