forums2draw.netBeginner PaintChat room not working for me,WHY?

Dear Administrator; I have downloaded the necessary jtablet for my tablet,the bamboo pen and tablet from Wacom; then,since the paint chat would not work,it said,"go and download the other thing,that goes with it,and it will work";well,I installed them both,and it still will not work,and the paint chat still is so hard to use,I really have to say,this is the only oekaki site who's software I always have trouble with.I am on a lot of other boards,and most of the time,this is the one that will not work.ALL the others are simple,and they function.Most of the time,except,of course,since I have the new java,and now the chibi paint here,and elsewhere,will not work at all.

So,I read the tutorial,and I assumed that the beginner chatroom paint room, would not be that hard; however,I just cannot get it to work;yeah,I read the instructions;what is so complex,that none of us(the other person in the room,could not get hers to work,either,and gave up)that we cannot SIMPLY turn on the watercolor,the brush,and a single layer,and paint?. As far as I am concerned,if oekaki software is not direct enough,and simple enough to use,without a whole lot of study,and a necessary manuel,I'm not interested in it.Also,this is the site that constantly seems to have bugs,and not anywhere else.

Would someone please let me know the SIMPLE WAY to activate beginner paint chatroom,and not anything exotic and "adobe illustrator"??Or,is there a bug,so that the other person in the room,and I,could not get anything to function?It keeps saying"Pantera"when I'm in the room,and then says,I am not allowed to do that(be in the room?try to turn it on?What am I not allowed to do?I installed both of the jtablet software.)And then,it says I am disconnected. So,if it is SIMPLE AND BRIEF,what is going on?What am I doing wrong?Or,does it take a long time,and lots of study,of the tutorial,and taking notes,to run it??This software is not meant for professional art work,it's for hobby,social artwork,and it makes sense that the operation should be simple to use. "Pick a brush,pick a layer,pick color,and go paint."It's supposed to be that simple,no? Yes? Can anyone give me a simple sentence that describes accurately turning it on,picking yer tools,and using it??Nothing complex and manual-reading?Yes,I did read the tutorial. I'm sorry, I just do not have hours to spend pouring over tutorial instructions,studying a manual,just to get beginner paintchat to function. I probably should do that,but I'm not able to study lots of technical instructions to figure out what I am doing wrong. I apologize for that,but,sorry,right now,I'm not able to do that.So if I am doing something wrong,that has simple troubleshooting,please let me know. Thank you very much.

I cant get it to work easily either.. sometimes I can find a tiny spot where I might see a mark I'm trying to make, sometimes nothing works.. nothing I've read makes it work any easier..I see all these pictures on there.. so some must be able to make it go easily, but it sure ain't me. PS. I have the latest java in both my machines and have no problem with chibipaint...

@davincipoppalag
The other day I erased it. I did so one layer at a time top to bottom. What "marks" were you doing to test it? Buried on the bottom layer toward the top of the canvas was the letter D in script written a half dozen times.

@everyone else
The more feedback about issues with it the more content we can put in the wiki for Sketcher Troubleshooting. Examples could include what OS, browser and versions you're using for the purpose of testing or diagnosis.

using chrome on mac (latest version of both, latest java, latest everything, everything installed) doesn't seem to work in that no marks appear no matter what I do. Using safari on mac works fine, I have no problems at all, so I guess it's a chrome issue and not the drawing board.

I'm not sure why certain other people have problems, since I haven't had to do anything special at all for it to work for me other than switching to safari. I have jtablet installed from the past already, so there was nothing for me to mess with there. I normally just pick a brush, select the top layer (doodle) and I draw something.

I finally figured out,you can only use one layer at a time; I have mozilla firefox,and that seems to finaly work. I just choose one layer,and if is says" you can not do that" I go to the menu,and completely reset it. Then, all I choose is "color" and I just pick a paintbrush width, fullness, texture,ect.If you choose "color", do not try to use any other layers. I use all the tabs on the colors, together with the brush buttons, to wiggle the color buttons back and forth,and manually make the color i want. It also gives you fullness, water, (?) size, this is all on the brush settings. But,yes,it's hard to understand, It takes a while of messing with it, to figure it out. That is usually how I get ot know software anyhow, I just fool around with it. Does not work with photoshop. Too complex. I do prefer the other software. However, maybe this has to workt with a chatroom. I went back to "beginners" and found the colors, water, ect.,and made color illustrations out of evryone elses' line drawings. And on "intermediate" I drew a pic of an old lady,and invited everyone to color and paint,and draw all their own body part problems,and faults. (arthritus, bad feet, old neck, you got it. "fat."Bad back.) Whatever parts of yerself, or others,you want to draw and complain about. ha ha. That's a Jewish thing, alright, complain about it,and you[ll feel better. hehe. Yes, can you use mozilla firefox? it might help. You have a Mac, wow, hot cha!!! Those expensive ones do professional stuff, no??I cannot afford that. PC is me. Yes, I noticed other people coming into the chatrooms, trying to draw,and quitting and leaving . it takes a while to get the hang of it. (also, mine too says, "no jtablet is found."but I have it. (???) )
