Contest Week 102: Real to the Imagined
So this week Dr. Moony requested that we do a contest where everyone can really let their imaginations take flight, instead of references and such.
He wrote the following piece, so read it and draw whatever your imagination tells you too:

"The Legs and arms of this creature grew in hollow spots of its body. It tried to make them scrape their way to the outside.
Bits and pieces flew everywhere. Some illuminated. Others tingled on second contact so that the creature made wild expressions.
A toothless mouth. Saliva didn't originate from the inside of its mouth but from the forehead. It had a big protruding lower jaw, so most of the fluid was safely caught.
The walls which surrounded it only stayed the same as long as it was able to remember them. Otherwise these shapes would change dramatically. Basically every aspect of its environment could change.

One time the creature forgot that it had a floor to sit on, so suddenly a pit appeared right underneath. Luckily there was a big pool of saliva at the bottom to softly slow its hysterical fall.
This was the moment it had to learn swimming...with only one arm and leg. The other extremities were still trapped inside the body cramping and kicking.
The confused being finally reached some kind of land and as soon as it did it breathed so deeply that its body stretched beyond recognition and some parts ripped slightly. Saliva and other fluids ran down
its body and then covered the floor.

Its fingers were suspiciously thick, so the thing finally rubbed them against a surprisingly dark and coarse wall that just happened to be around. It kept scraping until the wall suddenly appeared to change. It wasn't because our creature forgot about this part the environment. No, it was actively transforming it. Its fingers revealed very solid and sharp ends. Now it could dig and cut into any surrounding and shape it. But still, as soon as it started to forget, something changed.
It dug itself through the dangers and pleasures of this world until it cut its own body a little bit too much."

*Fuck, so this was one of the hardest contests to judge to date, all of us lovely panel was completely on different pages, however this is the mash up of our favorites.

I'm trying to overly optimistic, but realistically I cant see there being many entries this week. We can only hope.

Maybe for bobby, but not you cyclops..come on..toothless mouth, large protruding lower jaw to catch saliva, one arm and one leg? Thick fingers with sharp ends...uh ha. ;p

Your right, we may aswell give cyclops the first place now before it's even started.

As I was reading the description I got a strong image of what the traumatic event of birth might be feeling like to the fetus...

At a developmental psychology class, we were shown movie demonstrating birth, from the fetus's point of view.

It was a traumatic experience for me.
It took me about a minute to understand what I'm looking at, because she didn't prepare us, and then I screamed "ewwww, is that a birth?" in an auditorium full of people.. I'm sure many thought the same.

I remember at school all of us boys looking forward to the sex education classes, because there was quite a good chance of us seeing a womans naughty bits. But when we all witnessed a birth, I think we was all put off vagina's for a good few weeks afterwards.

Last night I watched a movie where I got to see Robin Williams' penis..that upset me for a good ten minutes..

Was big and hairy like his arms and hands?

When the contest is over I will paint my original take on it ;)

I'd like to see a contest along the lines of your favorite comic book character or video game character...I love those kinds..or maybe a ..your favorite sex position contest..you know something like that.

This is bizarre, like the ending in akira

it reminds me of that part in Top Gun.

The creature is on a highway to the danger zone ;)
