I'm always shocked at how little love the Trigun manga gets--the anime is good, too, given what little foundation they had to build it on, but the manga was really something special. One thing that it excelled in was the characterization of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, one of my all-time favorite characters. Don't get me wrong, the anime version was great, too, but they had a lot of key differences. The first being manga Wolfwood kicks more ass. Literally, he's unbelievably tough and wow can he fight. That's probably because unlike his anime counterpart he was genetically made to be more kick-assier, but when you read his action scenes in comparison to watching them on the anime, you can tell what a big difference there is. The second big difference is that when manga Wolfwood falls from grace, he falls /hard/. And it makes it all the more heart-wrenching to see. The picture above is one shot from the manga, where he smiles at the old orphanage leader who used to take care of him. Anyway, my dorky description aside, Wolfwood needs more love, man. Love 'em, love his cliche'd yet entirely original look, love his personality and story, loooove love love drawing him. EDIT: Oh, he's upside down because he's lying on the ground, looking up. It's a panel from the manga, during one of his fight scenes.
