what browser, operating system, and version of java are you using?
padmooks (Jul 21, 2010)
safari, macbook pro, who fucking knows.
i think the newest version. im pretty sure its just you and the internet trying to screw me over. |

are you using the experimental jtablet 2 release? mac os x 10.6.4? you can check the java version (and jtablet version) by clicking the info icon on the lascaux sketch toolbar.
but yea. it sucks. I wish there was something I could do about it other than to suggest saving more regularly and/or taking screenshots. |

Is the old jtablet version available? I had that experimental one loaded and it made everything funky. Sometimes pics wouldnt save or the tools would freeze.. I deleted it...
marcello (Jul 24, 2010)
Yes, it should be available on the front page of http://jtablet.cellosoft.com/
However, it would be good to find out what problems you were having with JTablet 2 so we can fix them. Which version of JTablet 2 did you have installed (1.2.5 or an earlier version) and which applets were you having trouble with? |

You're askin' me? lol.. It was the first time you announced the experimental one.. whatever edition that was.. I use lascaux and chibi.. and I had tool freeze issues with both on them .

I am also having problems with with all the drawing programs. Especially Lascaux Sketch. I am using Internet Explorer 8, version: 8.0.6001.18702. Java Version: 1.6.0_20. And JTablet Version: 0.9.5 BETA. In Lascaux the buttons freeze, or the whole program freezes, and I have to close internet explorer. Some parts like the tools give me a yellow exclamation triangle. If you can tell me how to fix it Marcello that would be really cool. I want to thank you for this very cool site. My drawings are not the best to look at, but sometimes drawing keeps my mind off of the real world.

None of the drawing apps work for me either.

padmooks, could you please fix the fucking post title on this?

Miss_DJ (Sep 22, 2010)
So good..it isn't just me and my computer. Marcello, when I try to use Lascaux, the message at the top of the pop-up box (among many others) says, CAN'T FIND DEPENDENT LIBRARIES.
I can't use Chibi at all...everything comes up, now w/o any message, but at the end of the cursor is a tiny little bubble (teeny tiny) and it won't draw anything. |

marcello (Sep 22, 2010)
Do you have jtablet installed but no tablet driver installed?
Miss_DJ (Sep 22, 2010)
that's possible, I guess. The weird thing is is that I have been drawing here on this same computer for months with no problems. Then, suddenly this. How do I make sure I have a driver?
marcello (Sep 22, 2010)
go to your tablet manufacturer's website, and download the latest driver for your operating system.
Miss_DJ (edited Sep 23, 2010)
ok, I will..thanks! The strange thing is this, I downloaded it from YOU...then tried out the 'test run' to see if I could draw on that tablet, and I could...weirdness. Ok....so I can't find what driver I need. and another thing..when I tried to use Chibi...the only tool it would let me use is to the FILL tool for the whole canvas. ugh.
