1. Random swirls and lines in as many colors as you choose. To make life easier, I've chosen 3 colors...black, white and blue.

Choose DIFFERENCE and using the same 3 colors (or more for your own..3 for my example) use various lines, shapes. Do this step for as long as you like, no limits to creativity.

3. With opacity on 255, both BLEND & ANTI-ALIAS should be clicked. Use all 3 or less or more colors on these settings and 'play around'...i just filled it here to make it easier to see what I'm doing. Pretty dull, huh? patience, patience...lol

4. Change opacity to less than 255, I chose 238 and put all 3 colors on once again with BLEND still clicked on. (Varying the size or shape of your brush will make a big difference at this stage, too).

5 Unclicking BLEND and having the opacity once again at 100%, apply the colors you'd like to again...keeping it on DIFFERENCE. (note: I don't usually just FILL the whole canvas at any of these stages after the FIRST STAGE...but am just doing so for this tutorial.

6. Settings are 240 OPACITY 240 FLOW...I just used white on DIFFERENCE..and on the right side, filled the side w/o lifting my mouse. Left side, click many times, made many swirls and lines.

7 Unclick BLEND, put flow and opacity back on 100% and 'cut up' the pic. (this is not an exact science, here and you can fool around like this forever if you'd like to..lol)

8. 255 on OPACITY AND FLOW...DIFFERENCE and BLEND...(now I wish I had chosen LOTS of colors...more you use, the more interesting the pic, I think....)

9. Oh what the heck, add some color if you want to. I just added some red lines, OPACITY 255, FLOW 255, NO BLEND.

10 I combined some steps here: FIRST....I chose red again with full OPACITY AND FLOW this time with BLEND. SECOND...I chose white...THIRD...I chose to UNBLEND with the white and red. You begin to see here, at this stage, that your 'paintbrush' is now FULL of color and you can create anything with myriad of muti-dimensional colors that your heart desires! HAVE FUN ABOVE ALL ELSE. I did all of this with my mouse. I usually use my Wacom Tablet and pen. Thanks for all the nice comments on my draws! I thought I'd try to explain this process again..hopefully it's clearer this time...♥ Donna

So... 11. Change the OPACITY AND FLOW to varying numbers alternating colors both with or without BLEND/ALIAS..etc. when you like what you see STOP..lol..
What I've enjoyed adding lately is using the GRADIENT tool as a finishing touch.

This is fantastic.....but it still looks very complicated to learn how you draw like this. I'll probably try to do this.....but I won't "post" it, because it will probably suck! "lol"!! I don't think anyone can do this "style" like you can "MissDj"....:)

Thanks, elly, firecracker and pop! I want to spend more time on this draw. I did it just as a tutorial, and it's kind of plain to me. I'll probably 'jazz' it up a bit today. Just wanted to explain how I did this for anyone who want to give it a whirl...♥♥♥

oh my. Thank you!

This one reminds me a lot of the work of a Japanese artist who used beautiful handmade rice papers to make her collage images. Thanks for the tutorial! I'm going to try it. Maybe it will help me make friends with Lascaux.
