My first try at a this big guy.....and it's about as good as it's gonna get! As you can tell, I had a rough time getting that snout to look 'decent'....ugh! Still not happy with it...frustrating but I've got to move on from this one. At least I did learn some things along the way =)

LOL@Miss DJ....you're sooo funny!!! And, so sweet =) I need a good close up ref of one of those buffalo that slobbered all over your car! =D
lynnandcharlie (Mar 18, 2010)
ELLY, you should be on the advanced board the way you did this draw, it's fantastic and your detail is outstanding. Miss DJ is right, the only thing missing is a frame

You mastered the flesh of this "big guy", amazing drawing and I do love your sense of humour when you were struggling with the snout. What a beauty!
elly (Mar 18, 2010)
Thanks so much, TJ&TumbUp! You noticed my 'frustration' aye? I wondered if anyone would notice...LOL!!!

I like going back to the beginning and checking out all the stages people go through, I like how you stopped with some attitude, it brought a smile to my face.
elly (Mar 19, 2010)
LOL@tumblin-up!! I've been known to show some 'attitude' now and then =) Thanks again for your comments and for taking the time to view each version as well! I love going back to see someones progression in a piece =)
backmagicwoman (Mar 19, 2010)
Beautiful..the texture is amazing..you really should have done this in advanced...
elly (Mar 19, 2010)
Aww, thanks BMW =) I've done a few in advanced...just never sure when I begin a draw if that's the place it should be....no biggie =)

I love the leather looking skin on this guy, wow. The skin has many stories to tell, different tones of gray and gold, aged and so beautiful. Love all your work, Elly!
