I just felt like trying a "merman" draw.....it's something a little different from the usual "mermaid" draws...."lol"! I still need to work on this more.....I'm still not satisfied with it. I don't know how that "merman" thinks he is going to battle that huge ugly fish with that spear....I think he is gonna end up as "lunch" for that fish....."lolz"....:) I'm posting this as "finished", cuz I don't feel like working on it anymore at this time.....but I do plan on finishing it later.....I just feel like starting on something different to draw....this one took me quite awhile to draw, and I'm not in the mood to do anymore to it right now.....thanks for all of your comments....I will finish this later.....:)

The dark eerie effect of the picture is so alluring, I doubt he stands a chance of survival but the picture is wonderful, each phase looked intriguing.

this is fantastic, very impressive, I love the design, colors and play of light and dark, maybe he has a secret weapon in the spines of the fin on his tail, like the lion fish has, one flick of his tail and the giant fish will be dinner for him,he has a child to feed, after all that baby mermaid had to get here somehow

That's one big angler fish. Man, those bugger's are ugly. My version of this story has merman's family eating sushi for supper. Your lighting is beautiful and the jellyfish in the background look great.

Thank you "All" very much for all of your nice comments.....I appreciate it very much. I'm glad you all like the pic.....I still need to do more to it, but I think I'm gonna post it as finished so I can start on a new draw....I'm tired of working on this right now.....but I will finish it later. I didn't know what kind of fish this was, until "teapot" commented that it's an "angler" fish.....so I googled "angler fish"....and sure enuff....this really does look like an angler fish..."LOL". I'm hoping that the "merman" will win this battle with this angler fish.....after all, he does have a family to take care of....he has a pretty mermaid wife, and a merchild to feed....."lolz"!! Thank you all again for commenting.....I appreciate it much!! :)

Thanks "lynn"......for the nice comment.....I'm glad you like the pic.....it's not quite finished though.....I still want to work on it a little more.....but that will have to wait till later....I'm too tired to do any more to it right now....."lol"....:)
