Yeah, I looked at it and detail is crazy, but you've come this far already and it looks great. Why not finish the sleeve a bit more..it's deserving! :)
Wouldn't it be cool if people still dressed this way....especially men.....this style of fashion makes men look so "dashing"!!! Nice draw flubadub!!! :)
No because then it takes to long to draw what their wearing, next draw i'm gonna draw somebody wearing a tweed jacket so i can do a better job without having to spend ages drawing it.
I don't see anything sloppy about it either.....I luv those fancy clothes.....I wonder how long it took for people to get dressed in those days.....all those fancy frills and lace and ruffles, etc..."lol"!! Awesome pic! :P
velly beautiful, great rendering,me like the vest, sleeve, the clothing is scintillating. You did good.Yah!Nowadays, finding real good clothing construction, and real tailoring,is horrible, because "fashion is dead"and on the skids.Ok,maybe it's too dressy for most situations, but have you SEEN WHAT WE ALL WEAR NOW??factory clothing.ugh.fashion has been killed, and any tailoring, construction, design,by global business corporations.sigh.Most couture is gone. But this picture is wonderful, good work.
Buncha little Chinese children went blind doing that silk embroidery and so will you, Flubbles, if you don't quit trying to draw impossibly detailed courtly attire. It's beeeooooteeful nonetheless. What a peacock. Do we get to know who this gorgeous fop is?
It's not that difficult because i'm not really concentrating on getting the detail exactly right, just the overall look of it.It's a pretty famous painting called the laughing cavalier by dutch painter frans hals. When you look at the painting the eyes are meant to follow you around the room from every angle.
I don't know what more you can add to this pic.....it looks finished to me!! This guy must have been a very wealthy man to be able to afford the luxury of such fine, fancy clothing......:)
Me hugging someone is basically an attack. :/ I can seriously hug someone, pick them up, and squeeze the life out of them if I wanted to. If they are really really really skinny, I can break a rib or two.
I like to lick mustard off people, does that count?
We used to have a replica of this painting in our library growing up, scared the crap outta me when I was in there late at night. This does look a lot like it, you sure put a lot of time in your work, I don't know how you spare so much.
