beep bop boop!
Flubbles (Sep 21, 2009)
I doodle quite alot just message around with colours and shapes, but i never post them. Sometimes they look ok but mostly they look crappy like this.I thought i'd post this to see if somebody had an explanation.
staci (edited Sep 21, 2009)
i think we need a contest.
we've done what i have in mind before...its a neat exercise. something like, we find a ref for everyone to draw...but we add some extra rules such as, only x number of revisions allowed, or even just one revision, and it should be under an hour drawing time. or something along those lines...idk we did these types of things before the contest board was around and it was pretty fun.
Flubbles (edited Sep 21, 2009)
KLox used to be the puppet master when it came to competitions, im not sure who else i would have in mind.Axil would probobly be the best candidate, but i doubt he would want to participate.Maybe the winner of each competition gets to set the next challenge.
xswirvex (Sep 21, 2009)
yea i remember, before the contest board. was pretty fun to watch.
backmagicwoman (Sep 21, 2009)
So i take it this contest would only be open to people who can do realism..
Flubbles (edited Sep 21, 2009)
Somebody has to be in charge though, and there needs to be a judging structure in place. Or else it Will just turn into a mad chaotic mess. There would be all different types of contests, not just realism im sure.
cyclops (Sep 21, 2009)
it shouldnt be about competition, and winning, just fun , more people would get involved.
staci (edited Sep 21, 2009)
its not about winning to me, i shouldnt have said contest...
i didnt like the contest board...and im not talking about something weekly that becomes a job for anyone..im talking about something right now..off the cuff, because im bored. we used to do this before the contest board like i said..soemone would find a ref..i think axil started it..and we'd all do our 'take' on it. it was fun and funny. no pressure.
edit: and what the fuck is that comment about BMW? who said the ref would be a photo? it would be a chance to do something in your own style or think outside your small wittle box for aminute. there are no rules per se, just parameters so it doesnt drag on for a week. the ppl that have been here a while know what im talking about, it was fun as hell.

oh and let go of the OCD flubbles..there doesnt need to be rules or a judge.
Flubbles (edited Sep 21, 2009)
For instance, if the guidlines was drawing an abstract face using just three colours. Then everybody has to do there take on it.

How about you kiss my rosey red ass cheeks, i was just airing some ideas.I never said there should be anything.
staci (Sep 21, 2009)
those wont be the rules. read what i said. it wont be anything like cloxboy's contests. and its not to be judged. we find a picture..HEY EVERYONE DRAW THIS BUT TRY TO ONLY USE ONE REVISION or TRY TO KEEP IT UNDER 1 HOUR..if they dont so what. but its interesting if you do. only the 12 year old retards wont follow simple parameters. if they can stop drawing kawaii one-eyed anime for a few minutes. or there dont have to be any parameters at all..heres a ref...everyone draw it. i'd try to find where we did this before but it was years ago and 2draw loads slow enough as it is.
backmagicwoman (Sep 21, 2009)
The statement was made in refernce to you saying something about using a reference..and most of the time when people use a reference it's usually realism...so i think it was a valid statement..so cool your heels..and FYI.. am not stuck inside a wittle box...let's keep it nice shall we...no need to try an label me...
staci (Sep 21, 2009)
'most of the time when people use a reference it's usually realism'

nope. wrong.
Flubbles (Sep 21, 2009)
Its good to argue, thats how things got worked out.
staci (Sep 21, 2009)
ya chillax.

anyway this site is loading HELLA slow and its annoying so ill bbl!
backmagicwoman (Sep 21, 2009)
well then let me edit for you....
a lot of the things i see on here when people say they used a ref..it's usually realism or from some painting that is done in realism style...
there is no argument..i made a statement as is my right to do so..and i don't like it being implied that i am simple minded for doing it..because I am anything but that...
backmagicwoman (Sep 21, 2009)
